Dog trainer saved dogs life Our dog Rambo was 8 months when we had decided to begin the obedience training with Nick. We were having on going issues that were worsening with his biting. Walking him outside was risky as we would never know when he would decide to randomly jump up and start biting. Nick right away helped us understand how to change our habits and give us different tools to help him be the best dog he can.

After each session we would see very good improvements. Continuing the training at home and staying consistent has changed Rambo to a whole different dog than when we first brought him. Playing and walks have since become a much more enjoyable activity. He listens to commands and understands right from wrong.

When I began looking for trainers I stumbled upon Nick. I read the reviews and saw very good ones. I right away knew that we were going to go through with Family K9. In each session you can see how passionate and knowledgeable he is about his work. I would recommend family K9 to anyone who is in need of a trainer. What can I say that’s not been written before? I’ve been getting my dogs trained by Nick for almost 25 years now. We started with my first Corso, Bruce, in 2003, and this week, he trained my new Corso puppy, Thor; between Bruce and Thor and my sister and I, we’ve had ten dogs trained by Nick, and this time around, someone tried to convince me to see what else is out there. Well, I went back to Nick, and no one came close to the connection Nick developed with my dogs.
On top of that, Nick doesn’t over-promise and under-deliver. He under-promises and over-delivers. If everyone in the world cared as much as Nick about his customer service and the dogs he trained, he would keep in touch and check up. What more can you ask for?

Nick, again, thanks for the great work and all the love and passion for what you do. It makes working with you a breeze, and Thor isn’t ripping my arm out of my shoulder when I walk him. If only he could train him not to fart as much.

2 Dogs and Counting!

In-home dog training downtown Montreal at water market I have now known Nick for over a decade. He trained my first dog, a big Bernese Mountain Dog, in 2014 and just recently trained my new puppy, a little miniature dachshund. Both dogs loved Nick and developed such amazing connections with him. They came back from their training with new found confidence, maturity, and training so that they can enjoy their lives. Nick goes out of his way to keep you updated during the training and to follow up with you post-training. We have basically been having an ongoing conversation for a decade about the dogs. There is no one I trust more with my best friends (my dogs).

Nick, thank you from Baylor and Finny and myself, for all that you do. Both dogs have only ever received compliments on their behaviour and training. Baylor was known as the best dog in all of the apartment buildings owned by our last landlord. You’ve helped me learn how to make sure my dogs are supported, confident, and empowered to explore the world.
